Our program is built around the concept that children are born ready to learn. As caregivers we strive to create a learning environment that is safe, stimulating and encouraging. The following guiding priciples are excerpted from the Oregon's Early Childhood Foundation and serve as the foundation for our curriculum
Giggles & Grace partivipates in the USDA CACFP foods program to provide healthy meals to our children. we serve a full breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Menus are posted for your reference. All of our cooked meals are made from scratch, and if a child has special dietary needs, please let the director know.
Using creative curriculum for infants, toddlers and two's help our teahcers understand developmentally appropirate practice. The teachers create daily routines and meaningful experiences that respond to teh children's strengths interets and needs. The infant/toddler room also has its own playground fenced off from the older children for a safe place to play with appropriate outside toys.
This program is for our 2 1/2 and 3 ear old age group. We think education and school should be fun! Using Creative Curriculum to guide the teachers, our days are filled with learing through stories, song and fingerplays, verbal language skills, listening activities, large and small motor development as well as lots of interaction to dvelp other skills such as sharing, communication and co-operation. Children will be the alphabet, numbers and colors while having fun!
Our primary goal is to prepare your children for Kindergarten! We will foucs on literacy (reading and writing), math, science, arts, and social skills. We understand that each child learns differently, and will present the materials in a manner consistent with children's needs and interests. Children will gain necessary skills for Kindergarten preparedness.
